Frederick Douglass - What the Black Man Wants, 1865 Susan B Anthony - Is it a Crime for a US Citizen to Vote? 1873 Write a 2-3 page Essay: Compare and contrast the message of Frederick Douglass with the message of Susan B Anthony. How do Douglass and Anthony BOTH represent continuity and change during Reconstruction? This is a good opportunity to practice your introduction, so as a reminder, you need to include in order: characteristics of the period, background/context, main points, thesis statement.
